It's a fast Chinese food chain, well known for spicy hand pulled noodles and hamburgers of northwest China. Great location and great food at affordable prices. The food was pretty authentic, I liked the choices of different levels of spiciness. We enjoyed all the food we ordered.

When we arrived at the restaurant (around 4:30) there weren't many people ordering, but more people arrived later in our meal. I imagine it's fairly busy. The prices are pretty cheap for food, probably some of the cheapest Chinese food on this side of NYC. The competitive wages here means that there isn't any tax either, but employees still get paid :) The service is very unique for this place. There are no servers, and nobody cleans the tables either; you have to do it all yourself. I don't think it's a big deal because you're saving so much on the lack of tips already. My order: cold liang pi and hawthorn juice Juice The lack of service also means no free water refills. They sell juice and water at the restaurant, or you can bring your own water. I really enjoyed the homemade hawthorn juice, It's a very unique flavor. Liang pi The noodles are spicy, cold, and tasty. I feel like there's only that one chili flavor for liang pi, so there's not much that can go wrong. Conclusion Super easy to grab and go and really tasty. The lack of tilling makes it even more affordable, and I really love the hawthorn juice! So far, this is my favorite Chinese spot in New York City.

So happy Xi'an Famous Foods reopened their Midtown location after COVID! Love me some lamb cumin noodles! They're made fresh, have a nice kick, and are so filling, but can get messy so don't eat it wearing white lol! The quality and flavor are just as amazing as I remembered. If you're craving authentic Xi'an cuisine, this is the place to be. Highly recommend checking it out!

Xi'an famous foods is definitely a spot that is much more food focused than anything else. Therefore I would not go in expecting a full restaurant experience. Other than that, the food here is good and has a pretty authentic taste. The noodles are chewy and good but can be overly long and tough to handle. If you are looking for some more authentic Chinese Xi'an style fast food, then this is the spot.

A hidden gem. Not so hidden in the fact that it's so busy tho! I think it's a spot locals love. Don't be deterred and be busy but still quick. I loved everything I ordered especially the lamb noodle, lamb dumpling, spicy cucumbers. I got it less spicy and didn't think it was too spicy at all. If you want more of a kick def get a higher spice level. Not a lot of seating but people move through and there is a stand up counter you can use as well. Don't be alarmed if you see a lot of people. Many are waiting on to go orders.

Spicy & Tingly Beef Muscle Hand-Ripped Noodles in Soup... AKA Beef Noodle Soup. It's my comfort dish, the dish I eat when I'm sad or when it's raining. Lately, it's also become a dish I eat when I need to feel something. Xi'an Famous Foods is my go-to spot for beef noodle soup because of the thick noodles and the spice. The service is quick, and it's a casual place that's perfect for eating alone. At this location, it felt like there were less options on the menu. Maybe it's been a while, or this location was just out of certain ingredients. It was pretty busy for a weekday night, but there are several tables and there is also a long communal standing table. There's also a restroom, but you need to ask for the code.

So happy that this location reopened. The spicy lamb noodles here are one of my favorites. I keep coming here enough that I'm slowly getting accustomed to the higher levels of spiciness. Seating inside is very limited, but opens up quickly as most people are in and out just for a quick bite.

Xi'an is one of the city's best noodle shops, and their concept outclasses other restaurants'. The famously thick hand-pulled noodles are the highlights of Xi'an. The spicy and tingly beef muscle hand-ripped noodles were extremely flavorful, and with an added drizzle of vinegar, the dish is an explosion of taste; it is a spicy food lover's dream. It is safe to say that every dish is exceptional and dependent on each person's preference. I also ordered the stewed pork burger to try, but it was dry and lackluster. I can't rave enough about the chewiness and thickness of the noodles, and the sauce was just too good. I was in noodle heaven!
